2008 Jeep Commander

What’s new in the 2008 Jeep Commander? Well for starters, there is a much more powerful engine. For the cost conscious, it is just a little bit more fuel-efficient.

The addition of Hill Descent Control is another feature that drivers who travel through rough terrain will appreciate. The '08 Jeep Commander’s Hill Descent Control feature allows the anti lock brake system to be used to slow the automobiles descent down hills without the driver having to touch the brake pedal. If acceleration is detected the new system will automatically apply the brakes to slow the vehicle down to the desired speed. Hill Start Assist is another new feature on the 2008 Jeep Commander. With this feature the automobile is held in place for two seconds after the brakes are released on a hill. This gives the driver enough time to move the vehicle without rolling down the hill.

Jeep is continuously improving their vehicles in an effort to give the consumer what they want. The '08 Commander is proof positive that Jeep is committed to this continuous improvement.

2007 Jeep Commander

An important feature of the 2007 Jeep Commander is the addition of the third seat. For some time Jeep has not had this added feature of other SUV’s. But starting with the 2006 model year Jeep Commander has stepped up and delivered what consumers have been clamoring for.

The 2007 Jeep Commander can accommodate five to seven passengers with the three seats. Each row of seats is higher than the one in front of it, which gives the rear riding passengers a nice view of the road. Along with the added row of seats, the interior of the 2007 Jeep Commander will not disappoint. With suede and leather seats the inside of this automobile is both comfortable and attractive.

The leather look even extends to the center floor console and the shifter knobs. A nice touch. For comfortable riding and a beautifully appointed interior, the 2007 Jeep Commander is a very nice choice in SUV.

2006 Jeep Commander

The 2006 Jeep Commander comes equipped with the most advanced safety system ever offered on a Chrysler automobile. It has the standard ABS braking system, but it is given added power with an electronic stability control system and brake assist.

Electronic stability control is a great technology that helps the driver keep control of the vehicle by detecting and also preventing skids. Brake assist is another added technology that increases the pressure on the brakes when a panic situation is detected. These two technologies combine to create a powerful safety system in the 2006 Jeep Commander.

In addition to the enhanced controls to prevent accidents this automobile also possesses side curtain airbags and a system that will detect when the vehicle has rolled over or has been hit on the side. These extra airbags are an important safety feature of the Jeep Commander. Even the front air bags are as state of the art as air bags get. They are able to detect the severity of the impact and deploy accordingly.

With all these important safety features the 2006 Jeep Commander is a perfect automobile for a young family.
